Home At Last

Oh, it's so nice to be home again.  Even though the temp reading in the truck hit 110 just before we got home.  What the heck is going on ???    This is CRAZY !    We are hearing that temps will be cooler the end of the week with a nice chance of rain.   We actually got some nearby this afternoon.  Julie called to thank me for bringing it from New Mexico.   :-)    It was pouring at her house a few miles away while we got a few drops.

I wanted to see if blogging was quicker here, since many people were sharing the same system at the RV stops.   So, thought I'd stick in some other stuff for ya, since pictures were taking forever to load.

Here are a few things that I will call Colors and Textures of Santa Fe.

These are two separate weavings by Ms. Laughing, a Native American we met at the Indian Market in Santa Fe.  She sits on the ground, legs crossed, to create these masterpieces of artistry.  Many of the wools used for the weavings in the Laughing family are colored with onion skins, coffee and tea.

Tapestries at a street market.

Colorful paper flowers at Jackalope.

Wall masks, also at Jackalope.

Bright benches beckon.

Baskets of alphabet letters to spell a multi-hued word.

Vibrant virgins.

Farmers market fodder

Cheerful sunflowers

Plump blackberries and gold pear tomatoes

I want to put more pictures out for you, so will do some other blogs on my favorite weather photos, nature pics, Taos, and Chimayo.

More soon !
