We've only seen one of these on a garden blog and we fell in love with the art. Then I found these at Jackalope in Santa Fe. There were no prices on them, so they may have been decorating the fence of the owner. They were in the far back corner, so there wasn't a huge chance that people would see them if they were for sale.
Aren't they cool ? Someone is really talented, bringing these tree roots to life this way.
This one looks more like a Medusa.
Here's a Buddha.
For some reason she looks like Phyllis Diller to me.
While we were downtown we found Rocki Gorman's store. This was in the window. Ohhhh, what I wouldn't give to have been able to walk away with it. You shoulda seen the great purple scarf/wrap that was around the shoulders. Oh my !
This souvenir below was just a little too large to bring home. Darn the luck!
Really love this store. It's huge ! And filled with all kinds of goodies for indoors and outdoors. If you're ever in Santa Fe you gotta go !
Steve's taking pictures. Had to get me standing everywhere. I don't look too happy. Hmmmm. Here I am next to the Jackalope. Might be kinda cute in the garden, huh ? Scare away the real bunnies.
well, back to thrift shops and the flea market. No more cute stores.
Until next time !
